During its regular Nov. 20, 2018 meeting, the Forney City Council met and in summary:
During a special Nov. 15 meeting the FISD board heard from Brookville residents who are displeased with rezone proposal.
P&Z Nov. 8, 2018 denied new strip center zoning, approved changes for older homes & RaceTrac, denied portable building request.
Council Nov. 6 2018 approved juvenile curfew, downtown parking limits, paying for Fox Hollow sidewalk and Gateway Bridge expenses.
During a record short meeting Oct. 17, 2018, the board approved an RFQ for Pinson Farm Master Plan.
Forney TIF board gets brought up to date on the Gateway TIF/TIRZ status, and how they should move forward. BTW: it's not debt.
In its Sep. 17, 2018 meeting, the Forney ARB approved paint color for Lowrance home, modifications to 208/210 S. Bois d'Arc.
Forney EDC Oct. 11, 2018 met to award several incentive grants, and to say No Thanks to decorative crosswalks downtown.
Forney P&Z Oct. 04, 2018 heard citizens opposition and approved rezoning for Project Fireball, denied Lover's Landing.
